Welcome to our tutorial on "Bringing Your Own Device" into the classroom!
The BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) programs are currently being rolled out across schools worldwide in an attempt to bring the benefits of advancing technologies into the classrooms (Oglethorpe, 2013).
In this tutorial, we set out to give you, the teacher, an introduction to: what is BYOD; the advantages of incorporating BYOD; the resources available to get started; and some of the challenges you may face in implementing this approach. Our objective in this tutorial is to give you enough information for you to feel confident to try using the BYOD model in your classroom, whether you are a beginner, novice or advanced in your implementation. Ultimately, we are all learners and want to inspire you in your learning process! |
